Wine Tasting room Bartender

Goal of this position

  • The goal of a bartender at Grand Canyon Wine Co.  is to bring exceptional customer service to our patrons through extensive product knowledge and superior customer service

  • The bartender position reports to the Tasting Room Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for patrons. Order food from restaurants next door

  • Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way

  • Assess customers’ needs, preferences and make recommendations

  • Pour beer and wine to company and legal guidelines. Be knowledgeable about the wine and beer we currently offer.  

  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age

  • Restock and replenish bar and retail inventory and supplies

  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations

  • Keep track of all employee drinks throughout the shift and ensure that they are rang in correctly

  • Keeping tasting room organized, clean and all items dated and rotated properly

  • Be knowledgeable about Wine Club, shipments of wine, website, current promotions and retail item and promote them to customers.  

Our Expectations

  • Maintain extraordinary standards of customer service. Must be both a team player

  • Be available when scheduled and communicate to manager 24 hrs in advance if you need to make arrangements for shift adjustment.

  • All Bartenders  must obtain a Cicerone Certified Beer Server certification, Title 4 Liquor Managers Card  and a Coconino Food Handlers Certification

Work Environment:
Movement is spent in high-traffic areas while performing various tasks. The position is exposed to high energy loud music levels and lowlights for long periods of time (8+ hours)
