Line/ Prep Cook

Goal of this position

  • The goal of a Line/ Prep Cook to prepare food to high quality standards.

  • The Line/ Prep Cook position reports to the Kitchen Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Preparing food to quality standards as directed by management

  • Overall cleanliness of kitchen as described on side worksheets.

  • Daily preparations of food as directed.

  • Any further tasks given from Kitchen Manager.

  • Following opening, midday, and closing procedures.

  • Taking out all trash and boxes in the morning, midday, and after closing.

  • Completing every task in a timely manner without argument.

  • Bringing a positive productive attitude every day, and be ready to work as a team.

  • All cooks must obtain a Coconino Food Handlers Certification.

Work Environment:
Movement is spent in high-traffic areas while performing various tasks. The position is exposed to high energy, loud music, dim lighting, hot or sharp surfaces, and narrow passageways for long periods of time (8+ hours)

Physical Demands:
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the ability to walk/stand and sustain physical activity for extended periods of time (8+ hours). Requires at times high and low levels of movement with the ability to reach with arms, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and squat. Requires the lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
